Matteo Esposito, our CEO, participated at Retail Tomorrow, the event organized by the Retail Institute, to discuss the results of the research “Innovation and Technology in Retail: A comparison between 2D e-commerce vs 3D animations”, realized in partnership with Bologna University.

Retail Tomorrow is dedicated to innovation and new technologies in the retail sector and it is divided into two chapters. The findings were presented on the occasion of the first one.
During the research, Digital Twins were more efficient than 2D pictures in terms of client’s behaviors and perceptions. Some key highlights:
Digital twins allow customers to interact with the products, they can move the articles, turn them upside down, that is why time spent on site will increase by 23%.
The higher engagement leads to a higher probability of purchase and to a higher loyalty. Customers will be more likely to return to your e-commerce site with Digital Twins. They will choose you amongst many companies offering 2D pictures.
Finally, in terms of consumer perceptions, the webpage displaying 3D digital twins systematically leads to more positive evaluations in terms of attitude change toward the retailer. Customers will love your 3D commerce site.
